Chris is an Instructor at the University of Northern Iowa.  She teaches for the Management department in the College of Business.  Research efforts focus on both international and behavioral aspects of management and marketing.

 

Occasionally she conducts workshops for the EXECDEV at UNI or in other countries.  At various times she has also lectured at Wartburg College.

Chris is advisor for the International Club of Business Students and competition teams for  MIMC and NIBS.

Other interests include community projects in her home town of Parkersburg, Iowa.  In 1991, she founded the Depot Park that has been improved each year with projects such as playground equipment, restrooms, and a shelter house.  The Oak Hill Cemetery Directory project she spearheaded won first place in the Iowa Community Betterment program in 2000.  Currently, she is working on preserving the military service profiles of former or current Parkersburg area residents.   Chris is actively involved in development programs in Ghana and Nicaragua with a focus on the Micro-Credit programs for women in Ghana and business education for youth.
