Our mission is to enhance the personal, professional and academic lives of students, faculty and staff through structured and self-directed activities, educational programs and services, skill- and leadership-building activities, and campus-wide initiatives.

We strive to foster healthy lifestyle choices and wellness in the lives of those in our campus community through collaboration within University Health Services, within the Division of Student Affairs, and with many other campus partners.

In order to meet the highest standards as expressed in our Mission, we are proactive in obtaining formalized information through systematic assessment.  This information guides our decisions regarding programs and services.

When lightning is 8 miles or closer to the WRC, the lifeguards will close and evacuate the pool areas until lightning has left the area.

If weather looks questionable, patrons planning to come to swim might consider calling ahead, 273-2413, to check status of pools.

In the event of a lightning storm, patrons will be instructed to exit the pool and avoid the use of showers and land-line telephones.
