Guest Artist Recital: Virginia Broffitt, flute

Visiting artist Virginia Broffitt will offer a flute recital. Broffitt is currently Assistant Professor of Flute at Oklahoma State University. A versatile musician, she has established a successful career as a teacher, soloist, orchestral musician, and chamber musician. Before her appointment at OSU, she served as faculty at Western Illinois University and flutist in the Camerata Woodwind Quintet. She has also held positions in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. This event is free and open to the public.

Guest Artist Recital: Esposito/Bellavance Duo

Visiting artists Nicole Esposito, flute and Michel Bellavance, flute, will present a duo recital. A charismatic and versatile flutist, Nicole Esposito is the flute professor at The University of Iowa. She has achieved a career as a soloist, teacher, chamber and orchestral musician on an international level having been a featured across the United States, Europe, Central and South America. Bellevance is a Meridian Records artist who has appeared at festivals in Switzerland, the United States and South America, on radio broadcasts for the CBC, the Radio Suisse Romande and National Public Radio (USA), and has given recitals in cities such as Prague, Barcelona, Geneva and more. This event is free and open to the public.

Guest Artist Recital: Anthony Arnone, cello

Visiting artist Anthony Arnone will present a cello recital. Anthony Arnone enjoys a varied career as a soloist, chamber musician, conductor, recording artist, and teacher throughout the country and around the world. Arnone is associate professor of cello at The University of Iowa School of Music, and is also on the faculty of the Preucil School of Music in Iowa City, where he teaches and conducts. Arnone has collaborated with many of today’s great chamber ensembles and artists including members of the Pro Arte Quartet, Cypress Quartet, Fry Street Quartet, and Arianna Quartet.  This is event is free and open to the public.
