Since its establishment in 1876 as the Iowa State Normal School, the University of Northern Iowa has maintained its affirmed commitment to the support of excellence in teacher education. This commitment was recognized by the Iowa General Assembly in 1967 when the function of the university was redefined to include as its primary responsibility the preparation of " . . . teachers and other educational personnel for schools, colleges, and universities . . ." MANDATORY REPORTER OF CHILD ABUSE TRAINING THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2009 3:00-5:30 p.m.

There will be a training session for Mandatory Reporter of Child Abuse on Thursday, May 7th. This session will be held in 245 Schindler Education Center.

We encourage students who plan to take Level II courses during the Fall 2009 Semester to attend this training. Fall 2009 student teachers are also encouraged to attend. Other teacher education students are welcome to attend this training session.

UNI will offer this training every semester.
