Motion to discharge the faculty Strategic Planning Committee

Present such facts as are needed to establish the importance of the problem your petition addresses and to indicate its present status: 

Whereas, the University has a strategic plan in place that is regularly reviewed by the Provost; and

Whereas the Senate can at any time call a consultative session with the Provost to discuss the strategic plan review; and

Whereas the Committee on Committees has recommended discharge of the Strategic Planning Committee; and

Whereas the Bylaws Committee is recommending renewing the charge of the Faculty Senate Budget Committee to provide input into the University's priorities;


Clearly indicate the action you wish the Senate to take relative to your petition, beginning with the phrase, "Therefore, be it resolved....": 

Therefore, be it resolved that the Senate discharge the Strategic Planning Committee.
