Specific Thunderbird Gmail Changes

The only changes necessary deal with the new inbound and outbound mail servers (see screen shots below).
Inbound server name is: imap.gmail.com
Outbound server name is: smtp.gmail.com
Common changes in addition to server names we’ve seen necessary are:
1) User Name field must include “@uni.edu” after your email firstname.lastname
2) Outbound (SMTP) server must have password type of “Normal Password”
In Thunderbird’s Inbound Server: Tools / Account Settings / Server Settings
In Thunderbird’s Outbound Server:
Tools / Account Settings / Outgoing Server (SMTP) / Click Edit
