Preventing Disease Transmission

The purpose of the American Red Cross Bloodborne Pathogens: Preventing Disease Transmission course is to train and provide individuals with an understanding of the intent of the Bloodborne Pathogens regulation issued by the Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition, the following topics will be covered: how disease transmission occurs, diseases of greatest concern, precautions to prevent disease transmission and steps to take if an exposure occurs.
