Laura Nasrallah, professor of new testament and early christianity at Harvard Divinity School, will present "The Significance of Monuments: Paul's Letter to the Romans, Augustus's Obelisks, Mussolini's Archaeology, and #tearthemdown." This lecture will discuss race, politics, power and religion in ancient Rome and in the fascist Rome of Mussolini in order to think about debates around monuments and history today.
