Screening of "Among the Righteous: Lost Stories from the Holocaust in Arab Lands" and Panel Discussion

“Among the Righteous: Lost Stories from the Holocaust in Arab Lands” tells the vast, lost history of what happened to the half-million Jews of the Arab lands of North Africa under Nazi, Vichy and Fascist rule. Following the screening of this 50-minute film, a panel discussion featuring spokespersons for different faiths will explore the lessons of this history and the obligations that members of different faiths to perform acts of assistance and rescue. This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education and the Muslim Students Association; the panel discussion is organized by the Cedar Valley Interfaith Council. 

This is the first of a series of film screenings and panel discussions accompanying the traveling exhibit, "BESA: Albanian Muslims Who Saved Jews during World War II: Photographs by Norman Gershman" (Grout Museum of History & Science, Waterloo, April 3-July 7).
