You and your family can meet with faculty members and talk about majors, minors, classes – all things academics. You’ll get the inside scoop from current UNI students who will take you on a tour of campus and eat lunch with you in one of our dining centers. Your campus visit wraps up with a group session on admission requirements, financing your education and living on campus.

"Department of Art Faculty Exhibition"

The exhibition is a formal presentation of recent accomplishments by the faculty in the UNI Department of Art. It is an opportunity for students and the public at large to experience current themes in contemporary art and also to meet artists who not only teach but also maintain vibrant professional careers in studio art, graphic design, art history, and art education. The opening reception begins at 6 p.m., Mon., Oct. 9, in the KAB South lobby.

Join the UNI Women's and Gender Studies Program in bearing witness to the Clothesline Project. In recognition of Relationship Violence Awareness Month, WGS will host t-shirt decorations to raise awareness for violence against women. People who have been affected by violence, be it first-hand or otherwise, are invited to decorate a t-shirt with their thoughts, feelings and supportive messages surrounding the subject. These shirts will then be hung on a clothesline for all to see.

UNI, in partnership with the YWCA of Black Hawk County, Infiniti Enterprises and Legacy Branding & Event Services, will host “Engage, Empower, Act: A Cedar Valley Conference on Diversity and Inclusion." The conference is divided into two related sections at two different sites. Part I, The Diversity and Inclusion Mindset, will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Commons on the UNI campus. Part II, Education, Advocacy and Policing: Supporting a School-to-Success Pipeline, will be from 2:30 to 5 p.m., at the YWCA in Waterloo. Both parts of the event are free and open to the public.
