Digital Media program launch

The Department of Communication Studies will publicly launch the new Digital Media program with the screening of the 60-second video contest winner, displays of student work in digital journalism, digital media leadership, and digital media production areas and several sponsored prizes to be awarded during drawings. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, media professionals and the general public are invited. Food and beverages will be available.

Screening of 'The Good Lie'

Screening of 'The Good Lie'

"The Good Lie" (2014) tells the story of four of the 20,000 “Lost Boys and Girls of Sudan” who walked thousands of miles to find refuge from the Second Sudanese Civil War and who eventually resettled in the United Staes.

This film screening has been organized by UNI RISE (Refugee Support and Empowerment) and the UNI Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education. The event is free and open to the public.

Observatory Show

Observatory Show

View the night sky through the computer controlled telescope at the Earth and Environmental Science Observatory. This event is free and open to the public; meet before 9 p.m. to get to the observatory (near the polar bear). No late admissions will be allowed; no food or drink and no cellphones or other electronic devices can be used during the observatory visit.
