Lime green yard flags will be provided for students to write messages of support or in memory of someone lost to suicide. These flags will then be placed in Lawther Field. On campus mental health student organizations and departments will have information and resources available. There will also be free food.
The UNI Freethinkers and Inquirers will host the monthly series "Pint with a Prof" at the Octopus on the Hill. This month Ana Kogl, political science, will present "People Pleasers and Bad Asses: Women, Sex and Shame."
UNI Freethinkers and Inquirers will host a free spaghetti dinner with a charity raffle in support of the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event. Donations are welcome.
UNI Proud presents the annual Drag-A-Ganza, a Halloween-themed drag show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.
The next #MauckerMovie is "War Dogs," with showings at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. There will be free popcorn and punch.
Join the International Student Association (ISA) for a night of fun, games and music. The theme is "Superheroes vs. Super Villians." Dress in costume; enjoy free food, games, dancing, raffles and more. All students are welcome.
Sigma Delta Pi and Hispanic Latino Student Union Latin style dance night with salsa lessons provided at the beginning of the dance. Free admission and refreshments.
The Film Appreciation club will watch and discuss the classic comedy "Young Frankenstein," starring Gene Wilder.
UNI PRSSA will host Katie Patterson, CEO and founder of Happy Medium. There will time for networking from 4 to 5 p.m. Patterson's presentation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The Weeky Film Appreciation Club will watch and discuss the classic horror-infused film noir "The Night of the Hunter," starring Robert Mitchum.
