Participants will paint small canvases for children who are currently at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
The Office of the Dean of Students is offering advisor training for anyone interested in serving as an advisor for students participating in the conduct process.
The Office of the Dean of Students will host an information session on the revised Student Conduct Code, policy 3.02. Anyone interested in learning about the major changes to the code should attend.
Campus Activities Board will host Dodge Work for Fun, a double elimination dodgeball tournament. The event is free for everyone. Students can form a team of 10 people or come before the event to be sorted into teams. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
The UNI Freethinkers and Inquirers will host its annual Flying Spaghetti Monster Dinner. There will be raffle tickets and prizes awarded at the dinner, a dress-like-a-pirate photo booth, some words from our members and free spaghetti provided by UNI Catering.
Remember Sept. 11. The UNI VISTA for Community Engagement, Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley, Student Leadership Council and Military and Veterans Student Services will host a stop-and-serve event.
The UNI Supporters of the United States Army (UNISUSA) will host a 5K "Zombie Run." The run is a fun course through campus where participants will encounter zombies who will chase them. Each participant will begin the race with two balloons and the zombies will attempt to pop the balloons. The goal is to make it through the entire course without getting infected (getting your balloons popped) with the best time. Proceeds from the run will assist UNISUSA in their efforts to support UNI ROTC cadets by providing them with funds to compete in events such as range challenge, the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge and other field training exercises. This run is appropriate for all ages.
The Hispanic Latino Student Union will host this event; refreshments will be served.
UNIFI and other progressive groups on campus will host a progressive picnic. There will be snacks, live music and an opportunity to connect with all of the progressive groups on campus.
The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles will share their stories and participate in an informal Q&A with Proud members.
