The Honors Student Advisory Board will have a quiz bowl. Teams of up to four members can participate in a sudden death quiz tournament for a grand prize. Participants can sign up as an individual and assigned to a team. The final round will include two student teams and a guest team of UNI faculty members. Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m. and the event runs from 7 to 9 p.m.
NISG will host Panther Bash where students can "de-stress" and meet the student government president and vice-president for the 2016-17 academic year. The event will have a carnival theme with a dunk tank, mini pig and many more fun activities.
Military and Veteran Student Services (MVSS) and the UNI Veterans Association (UNIVA) is sponsoring a trivia contest. Stop in at the center Monday through Friday and answer a trivia question; questions will change daily. Each question is worth various points and the person with the most points on March 31 will win a prize package worth $50. The contest is open to students, faculty and staff; no purchase necessary.
Fundraising to grant a wish a child with life-threatening medical condition
The UNI Chinese Language and Culture Association will show the film chronicling the Zhou Dynasty and the firtst warring states period of Chinese history.
The Delta Chi chapter of Alpha Xi Delta will have a 5K run/walk AmaXIng Challenge. This is a color run to help raise awareness and support for Autism Speaks.
The Film Appreciation Club will watch last year's Academy Awards Best Picture winner Birdman.
The Chinese language workshop will introduce the basics of written and spoken Chinese. All materials will be provided by the UNI Chinese Language and Culture Association.
The UNI Chinese Language and Culture Association workshop will teach participants who to write a message, draw a Chinese style picture or use artistic imagination on a durable and displayable rice board. Rice board, markers and charcoal will be provided.
A new student organization, Introspect, will have an inaugural meeting. The organization's goal is to assist students in personal development: knowing themselves, setting purpose and living intentionally. Pizza will be provided.
