The Black Student Union will celebrate Soul and African American culture. The focus will be on where soul food originated and why it plays a major role in the African American culture.
The Black Student Union is sponsoring a display that reenacts modern oppression of minorities such as racial profiling and how the media portray people of color.

The Black Student Union will host a showcase of how music and the roller rink have contributed to today’s culture. This will be a 90’s themed skate party with skates provided. There will be music and facts from the 1990s including a 90’s best dressed and best skater contest.
The Black Student Union will host a fashion show that taps into the fashion world, showcasing local privately owned clothing stores and merchandise provided by Infiniti Enterprises. Activities include a runway show, hands-on teen workshops, informative seminars and music exhibits.
UNI Dance Marathon will host the fifth annual "Big Event." Registration is required. The cost is $30 and includes admission, two meals, lots of dancing, blow-up obstacle courses, black light arcade room and much more. The fundraising goal is $305,000.
Military and Veteran Student Services and the UNI Veterans Association will sponsor a lunch and learn session. Topics include open credit, credit by examination, CLEP tests and emergency loans. Bring your lunch; soda and dessert will be provided.
The Safe Zone Ally program is a campus-wide opportunity designed to support the continued growth of an inclusive campus community. All are welcome to take the two-hour in-person training, as well as the online quiz, to become Safe Zone Allies. Registration is required.
