Panther Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) presents "Dog by Dog," a film that spreads awareness of puppy mills. The screening is free and open to the public. The sponsor is Bailing Out Benji, an Iowa non-profit group. Mindi Callison, founder of Bailing out Benji, will be there to discuss the film and how to help the organization.

In many African cultures, beads have played an important role in the lives of Africans by creating string of beads that promote identity and personality, as well as status. Participants will learn about how different cultures in Africa use beads in everyday life.

Froyum Roise, sociology, anthropology and criminology, will talk about her experience as a mother of a child diagnosed with Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome (C.C.H.S).
In recognition of Halloween, the Film Appreciation Club will watch "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night," which has been described as the "first Iranian vampire western." Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
