Guest Lecture: Loren Cameron

Loren Rex Cameron is a renowned photographer known for his photography of transsexual people during their gender transition. This lecture will focus on gay/bisexual transmen and his own experiences. Cameron will speak about his own transition, his art and his models. The presentation is a relaxed and informative way to introduce the topic of transgender. 

Latino Ball

The Hispanic Latino Student Union will host a Latino Ball with a Mardi Gras/Carnaval theme. Attire is semi-formal; refreshments will be served. Free admission.

No Iran War

Dr. James Zogby will host a talk and discussion. Bring your lunch; drinks will be provided. Sponsors include the Center for Multicultural Education.

Torture & the Possibility of Community

Prof. Marjorie Cohn, author of The United States and Torture: Interrogation, Incarceration, and Abuse (2011) and Rules of Disengagement: The Politics and Honor of Military Dissent (2009), will be speak on the problems of torture and the role it plays in destroying the possibility of world community. Cohn is professor of law at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego and immediate past president of the National Lawyers Guild. She lectures throughout the world on international human rights and U.S. foreign policy.
