View the night sky through the computer controlled telescope at the Earth and Environmental Science Observatory. This event is free and open to the public. Meet before 9 p.m. to get to the observatory (near the polar bear). No late admissions will be allowed; no food or drink and no cellphones or other electronic devices can be used during the observatory visit.

These artist talks are presented in association with UNI Gallery of Art exhibitions by Sarah Krepp and Garry Noland, titled respectively "Blow-Out II" and "Unorganized Territory," which runs from Sept. 28 through Oct. 24.
A UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition co-curated by UNI Professor of Art History Dr. Charles M. Adelman and Gallery Director Darrell Taylor. The concept is all themes Roman and Roman themes through time, and it will feature actual Roman artifacts from UNI Museums.
BLOW-OUT II is an exhibition of sculptural forms and mixed media paintings by Chicago-based artist Sarah Krepp. Unorganized Territory is accumulated, stacked, layered, and collaged forms by Kansas City-based artist Garry Noland. Noland’s presentation is supported in part by Arts KC, the Kansas City Regional Arts Council. The artists will present a Gallery Talk at 7 p.m. on Mon., Sept. 28, in the Gallery. An opening reception will follow.
Joel Haack, mathematics department, will present "Euler's Greatest (Mathematical) Hits: The life and (very) selected works of Leonhard Euler (1707-1783)."
The UNI Tallgrass Prairie Center invites you to appreciate the beauty of native plants with a leisurely walk along the trail of a UNI prairie planting. Walks will be led by Tallgrass Prairie Center founder and advocate Daryl Smith and Laura Jackson, center director at 1p.m. and 2:15 p.m. This event is free and open to the public; bring a pair of comfortable walking shoes.
UNI Prelaw is a new organization that unifies the UNI Business Prelaw Club and the Daniel Webster Law Society. At this initial meeting we will elect officers and make plans for the year. Scott Peters, associate professor of political science and prelaw advisor, will discuss preparing for and applying to law school, as well as other areas of concern for prelaw students. All students with an interest in law school are welcome, regardless of major. Freshmen and sophomores are especially encouraged to attend.
