The Panther Marching Band, the largest student organization on the UNI campus, combines Panther spirit, pride, musicianship, and more than 100 years of tradition. A prairie walk is being hosted by the Friends of the Tallgrass Prairie Center, the Cedar Prairie Group of the Sierra Club and the Iowa Prairie Network. Participants should meet at 9:30 am at the Thunder Ridge Mall parking lot to car pool/caravan to the preserve. Wolter’s Prairie Preserve is a wet mesic prairie with a wide variety of native plants. Daryl Smith will talk about prairie and plant identification.
The Graduate Student Symposium provides a showcase for graduate students to present their research and creative works. Poster presentations, oral presentations and creative performances are featured.
