Guest Recital: Judith Saxton, trumpet

Visiting artist Judith Saxton will present a trumpet recital. Judith Saxton enjoys a multi-faceted career as an international soloist, chamber and orchestral musician and educator and has been lauded as a “virtuoso player and superb soloist”. A Certified Alexander Technique Teacher (ATI), Judith embodies  these principles in all her interactions including her “Healthy Playing Habits” and “Breathing, Breaks and Basics for Mindful Music Making” presentations for universities and festivals and populations of varying ages across the nation and the world. This event is free and open to the public. 

Guest Recital: "Comedy Tonight" - Diane Reich, soprano, Robert Brandt, baritone and Scott Holden, piano

Visiting artists Diane Reich, soprano, Robert Brandt, baritone, and Scott Holden, piano will present a recital titled “Comedy Tonight”. Reich, Brandt and Holden all currently serve on the faculty at Brigham Young University and perform together frequently. This event is free and open to the public. 

Home Grown! The 36th Annual Scholarship Benefit Concert

Get ready for a celebration and join us for “Home Grown!” the 36th annual Scholarship Benefit Concert! The evening will be filled with exceptional performances by student and faculty musicians including UNI alumni flutists Rebecca Johnson and Nicole Molumby, the UNI Faculty Septet, student Patrick Cunningham (winner of the spring 2017 Performance Competition Finals), as well as the UNI Wind Ensemble, UNI Opera, Jazz Band One, and the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra with combined choirs, as well as a dazzling post-concert champagne reception where the music and excitement of the evening continue. Please join us for this exciting event and help to support student scholarships at UNI’s School of Music.
