Guest Recital: Margarita Shevchenko, piano

Visiting artist Margarita Shevchenko will present a piano recital. Shevchenko has been internationally recognized for her Romantic music interpretations, especially Chopin. She has been the recipient of the "Special Chopin Prize" at five competitions in addition to seven top prizes she has won at major international piano competitions in Europe, Japan and the United States. She currently serves on the faculty at Michigan State University. This event is free and open to the public. 

Guest Recital: David Gompper, composer and pianist & Wolfgang David, violinist

Visiting artists Wolfgang David, violin, and David Gompper, piano, will collaborate to present a recital. Austrian violinist Wolfgang David has performed in major halls such as Konzerthaus and Musikverein Hall Vienne, Carnegie Hall New York, Cerritos Center Los Angeles and more. David will collaborate with pianist David Gompper, a celebrated composer and performer who has worked professionally as pianist, conductor and composer throughout the United States and abroad. This event is free and open to the public. 

Tallcorn Jazz Festival and Sinfonian Dimensions in Jazz Concerts

The Beta Nu Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and the UNI School of Music invite you and your band to the 62nd Annual Tallcorn Jazz Festival and 66th Sinfonian Dimensions in Jazz Concerts to be held on February 17 and 18, 2017, on the UNI campus. Guest artist for the festival this year will be Kurt Rosenwinkel, jazz guitarist and keyboardist. For more information, visit www.tallcornjazzfest.com. Concerts for this event are ticketed.
