Making Government Whistleblower Laws Work

U.S. Senator Charles Grassley and Iowa State Senator Jeff Danielson will discuss whistleblower protections from the federal and state perspectives. Both view whistleblowing as an important check and balance on government. Grassley has a long record of working for protections for whistleblowers. In 1984 he authored updates to the federal False Claims Act and co-authored the 1989 federal Whistleblower Protection act and its updates in 2012. Danielson helped lead an effort in 2014 to strengthen Iowa’s whistle-blower law. A reception precedes the program at 7:30 a.m.; free and open to the public.
