Executive Vice President and Provost

Trevor Dawes presentation

Trevor Dawes will present "Library Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives" focusing on his work as co-chair of the American Library Association’s Task Force for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and how libraries have been successfully advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives on their campuses. Dawes is the May Morris Librarian and vice provost for libraries and museums at the University of Delaware.

"B.F.A. Group Exhibition"

Opening Reception: April 24 at 7 p.m. The following students are pursuing Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in their respective emphasis areas and are exhibiting new artwork to fulfill graduation requirements: sculptors Dallas Guffey and Timothy Jorgensen; painter Natalie Heddens; and ceramist Madalyn Loring. All events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; noon to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and by appointment.

Take Back the Night

UNI Women's and Gender Studies and the Waterloo Riverview Center will host Take Back the Night to raise awarness for and work toward eliminating sexual violence in all forms. There will be speakers presenting and discussing information regarding sexual assault. The walk around campus will begin at approximately 8 p.m. In case of bad weather, the parade portion of the event will be canceled and the speaker portion will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Scholar Space of Rod Library.

Daoism in Chinese Painting

Xiaoting Wang, a renowned artist in China, will discuss the influence of Daoism, one of the key Chinese religions, in his paintings. The event will feature a brief summary of Daoism to set the context for his presentation. All are welcome. For more information, contact Jerry Sonesson at 273-6221 or Penny Wang at 273-2821.

Performance Power Hour

Interpreters Theatre presents "Performance Power Hour." See the "best of the best" performances from our beginning and advanced level performance classes. From traditional performances of literature to unexpected and experimental performances, you will laugh and cry.
