International Opportunities Fair

This is the "one stop shop" event to learn about international opportunities. It is your chance to explore study, work, intern and volunteer opportunities abroad. There will be a variety of booths staffed with individuals to answer your questions about credit transfer, health concerns, international travel and have your passport photo taken. Past participants will be available to answer questions.

The "American Way of Eating" since 1900: A Look at the Changes in American Food Culture

Molly Franta, a UNI senior honors student majoring in history and theatre, will discuss her ongoing interest in food research. Franta served as an intern for an exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History that explored major changes in food and wine in postwar America. She will share about her summer intern experience and how it ties to the honors research she is completing this fall. Feel free to bring your lunch to enjoy during Franta's presentation. Dessert will be provided.

International Education Week Kick-Off Event

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the U.S. The kick-off will feature speakers, entertainment, refreshments and more. There will be a drawing for a $100 scholarship for an American student and a $100 scholarship for an international student; must be present to win.
