Visiting artist Patrick Nyren will present a euphonium recital. Nyren is a member of the U.S. Army 1st Armored Division Band and winner/finalist of numerous national euphonium performance competitions. A graduate of University of North Texas, Patrick was a 2014 recipient of the Finley R. Hamilton Outstanding Military Musician Award. This event is free and open to the public.
The UNI School of Music presents a brand new, day-long event for brass players. Events will include brass master classes as part of our All State Brass Workshop, as well as interactive sessions with UNI faculty artists and a 5 p.m. final concert featuring participating students in like-instrument ensembles as well as in a large massed ensemble.
