2018 Hari Shankar Memorial Lecture - Mathematics Department

The 2018 Hari Shankar Memorial Lecture will be given by Sybilla Beckmann, the Josia Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor of Mathematics in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Goergia. This talk is intended for general audiences, on topics of current interest in mathematics and mathematics education. The lecture is free of charge. For more information, contact the Department of Mathematics at 273-2631.

"B.F.A. Group Exhibition"

Opening Reception: Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. The following students are pursuing Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in their respective emphasis areas and are exhibiting new artwork to fulfill graduation requirements: sculptor Christina Carver, painter Caylin Jayde, printmaker Nick Lyle Hall, and painter James Lange. All events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; noon to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and by appointment. The gallery is located at the corner of Hudson Road and West 27th Street, on the main floor of Kamerick Art Building South.

Refill not Landfill

Refill not Landfill is a campaign to promote healthier living through sustainable water habits during the month of November. Free water bottles will be available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Schindler Education Center, noon to 2 p.m. at the Wellness/Recreation Center and 9 a.m. to noon at Maucker Union, Rod Library and Curris Business Building Tuesday, Oct. 31.
