"The Aliens" is a delicate and subtly observed drama chronicling the characters' struggles to survive, connect and find meaning in their lives. Written by Annie Baker, whose other works include "The Flick," "John" and "Circle Mirror Transformation." Mature Content (14+). This production will contain smoking of non-tobacco products.

Anda and her in-game alter-ego, Kali, join forces with rough-and-tumble Sarge to rid Coursegold of economy-ruining Gold Farmers. But an encounter with a Gold Farmer makes Anda question what she’s really fighting for. What happens when in-game and out-game collide? What happens when in-game becomes IN REAL LIFE?

This spooktacular Halloween-themed event will feature the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Rebecca Burkhardt. Dracula's Guide to the Orchestra, a concert for children of ALL ages. Costumes welcome! This event is free and open to the public.

UNI School of Music faculty artist Alexander Pershounin will present a double bass recital with collaborators and repertoire to be announced. This event is free and open to the public. 

Wednesday, November 1, 2017 - 7:30 pm

This showcase features talented student finalists competing for the title of Instrumental Concerto Competition winner, and the opportunity to perform as soloist with a premiere School of Music large ensemble in the spring. This event is free and open to the public. 

Thursday, November 2, 2017 - 7:30 pm

Under the direction of UNI School of Music faculty artists and conductors John Len Wiles and Amy Kotsonis, the UNI Concert Chorale and UNI Singers will collaborate to offer a fall choral music concert. This event is ticketed. For tickets, call (319) 273-4TIX.

Join us for a celebration of the history of the UNI Horn Choir. Activities will include a Wind Ensemble concert featuring the UNI horn studio, brunch, social time, and rehearsals culminating with a mass horn choir concert in Davis Hall, GBPAC. Our goal is to create an outstanding, positive, and friendly musical and social experience for high school band students! Ian, a 24-year-old alcoholic and college dropout, sits at the local hole-in-the-wall bar. During his time there he interacts with the various patrons discussing everything from cigarettes and vaping to an existential crisis. Written by Kelso Breitsprecher, Genuine Cigarettes is a dramatic one act play that aims to say the dark things that everyone knows but no one talks about.
