Intuitive Eating four-week workshop

2014 W-2s

Online W-2s became available Jan. 9 for active employees previously electing to not have a paper W-2 mailed to them. Paper W-2s for all other employees should be mailed by Jan. 15. See the Business Operations-Payroll website for information on how to receive your W-2 online in future years. The W-2 reflects Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 earnings. The delay some employees experienced in receiving payment for Dec. 31 payroll did not affect the W-2 totals.

Conversation partner volunteers needed

The CIEP Conversation Partner Program pairs fluent English speakers with students. Partners meet a minimum of one hour each week to practice English throughout the academic year. Volunteer opportunities with the Spectrum Project

Volunteer opportunities are available with the spring 2015 Spectrum Project, that combines music, movement and drama for children with different abilities. UNI students are needed to volunteer as buddies to the children in the project. More information is posted on the Spectrum Project website.

Electronic Media Student Showcases

Students majoring in electronic media will exhibit their work at two events this week. An Electronic Media Student Showcase of innovative, thought-provoking and moving videos will be shown at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the Interpreters Theater, LNG. The UNI-TV Annual Variety Show, featuring student work from an innovative collaboration between journalism and electronic media, will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, in the Performance Studio, LNG. Awards will also be presented to the winners of a video contest.

'Avenue Q' auditions

Auditions for "Avenue Q" will take place at 6:30 p.m., Dec.1, in the Strayer-Wood Theatre. Callbacks will be Dec. 2. "Avenue Q" is an irreverent take on modern culture, race and musical theater itself. The show uses puppets that interact with human actors and the songs are funny and often bawdy. McElroy Fellowships

Information about McElroy Fellowships is now available online. Candidates must intend to pursue a Ph.D. and be a December 2014 or May 2015 graduate with a liberal arts degree.
