Lecture by the Hon. Jim Leach

Jim Leach was the director of the National Endowment for the Humanities from 2007-2013. He served eastern Iowans in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1977-2007. Bridging political eras, he is uniquely poised to address the ongoing problem of gridlock in U.S. politics. He will discuss "The Challenges of Non-Partisanship in a Partisan Era" at 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 17, in 002 SAB.

Dodging for Diabetes

Kappa Sigma fraternity's annual dodgeball tournament, Dodging for Diabetes, will be from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 19, at the WRC. Teams are made up of six to eight people, and the cost is $5 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Victoria Christen will give demonstrations of how she makes her ceramic artwork from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4:45 p.m., Thursday, April 2 and from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4:45 p.m., Friday, April 3, in the Ceramics Lab, Room 126 in KAM. International Dance Theatre spring performance

Student Wellness Services, UNI Public Safety and local and state law enforcement will offer a fun and educational event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, March 12, in the Hemisphere Lounge, MAU.
