Advising Holds

Posted on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013

Advising holds are holds on your account that require you to meet with your academic advisor prior to registering for classes. To get the hold lifted, you will simply need to contact your academic advisor and they will be able to lift it after meeting with you.
How do you know if you have a hold?

  • Log-in to your MyUNIverse
  • Click “Go to my Student Center”
  • Look in the “Holds” box in the upper right-hand corner
  • Any holds that you may have will be listed in this box

Important Note:
With Summer registration and Fall registration happening this spring, it is possible to have TWO advising holds. You just need to make sure that you let your advisor know so that they remove BOTH holds for you. Removing one hold will not remove both holds.
