Youth Camps/Clinics

Welcome to the UNI Recreation Services Youth Program website. We currently offer a variety of camps children of many ages can sign up for. Our large and first-rate facility allows us to provide camps unlike any your children have participated in!!!

All Sports Camp
UNI-WRS hosts this all sports camp over the course of the school year. Kids participate in flag football, table tennis, rock climbing, basketball, swimming, kickball, baseball/softball, dodgeball, pickleball, ultimate frisbee, and nutritional and environmental presentations! For ages 6-12.

One-Day Camps: September 18, February 26, and April 15
Winter Break Camp: December 28 - 30
Spring Break Camp: March 14 - 18

Outdoor Adventure Camp

UNI Recreation Services is proud to offer its Outdoor Adventure Camp. This camp takes place in the summer. During this action packed 3 days, participants enjoy activities such as: Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Hiking, Fire Building, Animal tracking and Identification, etc. No Experience is necessary; however, an adventuresome spirit is required. For ages 9-12.

Climbing Camp

UNI Recreation Services is excited to offer their first ever summer Climbing Camp. Participants will learn skills and techniques in climbing, bouldering, and team building during this two day camp – great for practicing communication, goal setting, and responsibility. No experience is necessary to participate. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. For ages 13-17.

Babysitting Training

Jump start your teen’s first job. Youth will become great babysitter’s by learning practical skills and confidence through video presentations, hands-on activities, and classroom discussions. Topics include: responding to emergencies, good decision making and communication with parents. Babysitter’s training is designed for youth ages 11 to 14 years.

Junior Lifeguarding

A program for youth that provides a foundation of aquatic and leadership knowledge, attitudes and skills for future successful completion of the Red Cross Lifeguarding courses. Objectives that will be covered include prevention of accidents, fitness, rescue responses, leadership and professionalism. Junior Lifeguarding is designed for youth ages 11 to 14 years. To participate in Junior Lifeguarding a swim pretest is required. The pretest consists of a 25 yard front crawl swim with proper breathing, treading water for 1 minute and swimming 10–feet underwater.
