Organizational Awareness

Professionals understand enough about the organization and its goals to pay attention to the right things and respond appropriately. They are able to take action independently, seeing something that needs to happen without waiting for others to point it out. It might seem like these people just intuitively know what to do, but the reality is that they’ve spent time learning about their world, their community, and the internal dynamics of their own organization.

The Professional Readiness Program covers skills in five areas to help students develop their own organizational awareness:

  • strategic thinking
  • economic environment
