CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa Financial Literacy Club will host a financial literacy event at 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, in the Maucker Union Ballroom. Mike Finley, president and founder of the club, will discuss ways to make informed decisions about how to spend, save and invest money. Participants also have the opportunity to win cash prizes at the event totaling $1,000.
Finley started the Financial Literacy Club in 2010 to encourage and enhance financial literacy for all individuals. "Financial literacy followed by action can change the course of your life!" said Finley. "Believe it."
The club meets at 6 p.m., every Monday, in the University Room, Maucker Union. Topics of discussion include spending, credit management, borrowing, investing and more.
