Third UNI presidential candidate to visit UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The third and final candidate for the position of president of the University of Northern Iowa will visit the UNI campus next week. The two-day visit will include meetings with students, faculty and staff and a public forum where each will make a presentation and address audience questions.

The third candidate is Michael A. Wartell, (wohr-TEL) chancellor emeritus, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), who will visit campus Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 4 and 5. His public forum will be Monday, Feb. 4 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Old Central Ballroom, Maucker Union.

The new UNI president will succeed retiring President Benjamin Allen. Allen became the university's ninth president in 2006.
