Remote access to UNI secure resources is available through Remote Desktop Terminal Services gateway and VPN services.
The ITS Security Office is responsible for monitoring network/system security events and initiating appropriate action to protect University data and resources. ITS is now offering a range of "virtual" servers to Colleges, Divisions, and Departments that do not want the overhead of maintaining servers on the campus network. In the right setting "virtual" servers can save: acquistion costs, power consumption, staff time and cooling. This is a technology that has rapidly transformed information technology.

ITS Network Services offers a tape backup up service to Division, Colleges and Departments that wish to have their critical resources backup up to tape on a nightly basis. Retention of this data varies based upon need. Contact ITS NS if you are interested in having your critical data backed up.
The Technology 'n' Training service of ITS-Educational Technology that provides free computer workshops for UNI faculty.
