Multimedia Production

The Production House is a multimedia production facility that is open to faculty, staff, and students. The Production House can create a media project for you or you can use our self-service facility and do it yourself. Our self-service lab has Dell, Gateway, and Apple computers that are loaded with a wide range of applications. MyUNIverse

MyUNIverse is a personalized Web portal that UNI students, faculty, and staff use to access and update their personal records. This includes registration, billing and financial aid, academic progress report (degree audit), and much more. Login to MyUNIverse with your CatID to view your personal records and access administrative systems.

Network Authentication

Many network systems require authentication such as wireless, residence halls and network access control. maintenance of registration and radius authentication systems is managed by this group

Network Engineering

Network Engineering is a service of the Computer Network Systems group in ITS Network Services. Service includes design and operation of UNI networking including wired, wireless, wide area networking, remote access vpn, rdp, network authentication, firewalls and traffic management for all buildings and network systems on campus. 

Network Scanning Service

ITS Network Services Security Office provides a quarterly scanning service for College, Division, and Departmental critical systems.  These scans are used to identify potential vulnerabilities to Internet or campus network threats. 

Online Voting and Surveys

The university provides a free service for polling students, faculty, and staff and for conducting elections of various types. The program was written in-house and is maintained by the Data Access Team.

The system uses the standard University (CatID) authentication and allows a survey owner to create and manage their own surveys or ballots. An approval process is built in to the system and results are made available immediately following the close of the voting.

PC Purchasing Support

The computer specialists in the Computer Consulting Center can help students, faculty, and staff with individual PC purchasing questions.  Like many universities UNI has arrangements with vendors (Apple, Dell, Microsoft, etc.) for you to be able to purchase discounted systems directly from their respective companies. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions

This system supports the academic program by fulfilling core functional needs like course registration, grade reporting, student recordkeeping, application for enrollment processing, financial aid awarding, student billing, and degree auditing. Further, it stores data essential to academic advising, Regents reporting, international enrollment reporting, space scheduling, career services, alumni relations and other functions.
