Scholarships

Indian International Scholar Award - Applicants with strong academic and service backgrounds may qualify for this scholarship with awards ranging from $2000-$4000 per year. Indian International Scholar recipients will be required to participate in campus cultural awareness activities and specified recruiting efforts. All applicants must attend a UNI sponsored meeting or presentation.

Qualifications:

  • Equivalent grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale
  • Proof of English proficiency

Presidential Scholar Award - Award value is $8000 per year for students in top 10% of their class, an SAT (CR&M) score of 1280 or above, and extra-curricular activities.  Visit www.uni.edu/honors/content/presidentialscholarship to learn more.

UNIversity Scholarships - Enrolled students may also apply for scholarships through their academic departments, though many awards are restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are for comparatively small amounts. Employment

There are many job opportunities on the UNI campus for students with student (F) visas or exchange visitors (J) visas to work. The pay is usually in the range of $7.25 - $9.25 per hour. F and J visa holders are not authorized to work off campus as a means of support except under extraordinary circumstances.
