Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplaces (Exchanges) are Now Open

Health Insurance marketplaces are now open for you to enroll. These exchanges are intended to provide consumers with a new way to shop for, compare costs and coverage benefits, and enroll in insurance coverage. Visit www.healthcare.gov for more information.

Please also note that under the ACA, The University of Northern Iowa sponsored student health insurance plans (SHIP) also remain an option for coverage of students.

UNI Student Health Clinic

Welcome to the Student Health Clinic at the University of Northern Iowa. We specialize in college health. We offer high quality primary care services provided by Board Certified Family Practice Physicians, Board Certified Physician Assistants, and a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Additional staff includes a pharmacist, nurses, and a lab technologist. We understand today’s college students and we are committed to assisting you with your healthcare needs.

Eligibility and General Information

All registered University of Northern Iowa students are eligible to use our services. We encourage you to schedule an appointment by calling (319) 273-2009. We are located on West 23rd Street next to the Schindler Education Center: http://www.uni.edu/health/about/location/

To be prepared for your visit to the Student Health Clinic you should:

  • Bring your health and pharmacy insurance cards.
  • Know all medications & doses you are currently taking.
  • Know your medication allergies and sensitivities.
