Registration for Faculty Focus Technology Workshops

UNI Instructors: IT-Educational Technology & Media Services (IT-ETMS) invites you to register for Faculty Focus workshops offered August 9-19, 2016. Workshops address various UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) features and numerous other instructional technologies (Google Apps, Panopto, Desktop Video Conferencing, Lynda.com, Turnitin, etc.). Seating is limited and reservations are required.

(Completed) Panopto live classroom capture maintenance August 4 and August 5

The Panopto live classroom capture system (http://panopto.uni.edu) will be OFFLINE for maintenance beginning Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 8 a.m. CDT and returned to service by Friday, August 5, 2016 at 12 p.m. CDT.

(Completed) UNI eLearning System Extended Maintenance - Sunday, July 31, 2016 - 6-11 a.m. CDT

On Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for an extended maintenance period to upgrade the eLearning database software and server OS.

(Completed) UNI eLearning System Maintenance - Wed., July 27, 2016 - 6-7 a.m. CDT

On Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance to install application server patches. These are patches for the servers that the UNI eLearning System runs on. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

(Completed) Blackboard Mobile Maintenance & Outage this weekend (July 22-24)

On Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:01 p.m. CDT up to Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 1:00 a.m. CDT, the Blackboard Mobile Learn app, Bb Grader app, and Bb Student will be unavailable due to scheduled Blackboard Mobile maintenance. Blackboard will be performing a migration of the Mobile Learn Central Service (MLCS) to Amazon Web Services (AWS). During the downtime, clients and end users will experience the following:

  • End users will not be able to look up institutions from their mobile apps.
  • End users will not receive push notifications through their mobile apps.
  • End users who have an active cached session will be able to continue using their mobile app, but will still not receive push notifications.

During this scheduled maintenance, end users should use a desktop/computer browser to access UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn).

On Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance to install application server patches. These are patches for the servers that UNI eLearning System runs on. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

(Completed) UNI eLearning System Maintenance - Wed., May 18, 2016 - 6-7 a.m. CDT

On Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance to install application server patches. These are patches for the servers that UNI eLearning System runs on. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

Summer 2016 UNI eLearning courses populated with students

Summer 2016 UNI eLearning academic courses were initially populated with students at 11 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Summer 2016 student enrollment will be imported into the UNI eLearning System daily, so all enrollment changes (adds/drops) will be automatically processed. Any changes entered in the Student Information System (SIS) by 5:00 PM will be processed the following day.

(Completed) UNI eLearning System Maintenance - Wednesday, April 6, 2016 - 6-7 a.m. CDT

On Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for server maintenance that will increase storage capacity for content. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

(Completed) UNI eLearning System Unavailable - Wed, Mar 23, 2016 - 5-7 a.m. CDT

On Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for application server hardware maintenance. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.
