Faculty Development: "Turn It In" as a teaching and grading tool

Two of the most common faculty complaints are that "students don't understand plagiarism and how to avoid it" and that "grading papers is too time consuming". Faculty are invited to a professional development session from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the Center for Multicultural Education (CME). Jason Vetter, educational technology, and Susan Hill, philsophy & world religions, will highlight turnitin, a tool to teach students about plagiarism and tips for grading papers efficiently. Refreshments will be served.
