GEOG 4133/5133 Workshop: Geography, Conflict and Human Rights -- 1 unit(s)
This workshop employs a geographic perspective to educate secondary teachers about the causes and consequences of conflict and human rights violations. Use various geospatial and instructional technologies, as well as traditional means, to create standards-based curricular materials that increase your students’ awareness and understanding of the tragedy of genocide and other conflicts and the pressing need to actively advocate for human rights. Create curricular materials that connect with Iowa Core Geography as well as the Common Core E/LA.
