This workshop provides strategies for effectively developing quality lessons that align teaching targets and student engaging instructional activities supported with formative assessment. Instructors will promote an understanding of the linkages between the Common Core and geography standards as well as geographical inquiry. The workshop is designed to provide a hands-on experience where teachers gain the confidence and knowledge to integrate literacy and geography in their future curriculum.
