LITED 6259 Literacy Lessons Teacher Clinical II -- 3 unit(s)

Participants in this course will develop expertise: in administering and analyzing An Observation Survey of Early Literacy Achievement, in teaching first, second or third grade children who are low achieving in reading and writing skills, and in understanding the theoretical basis of teaching for reading processing and strategic activity. Participants will teach two children daily (four or more students during the school year) in individual lessons in order to develop an in-depth understanding children’s developing reading processing and for the purpose of learning to accelerate the literacy development of children. Prerequisite(s): Students are required to have successfully completed Literacy Lessons Specialist Clinical I.
