Student Quotes from 2003 trip

As I look back on my experience of traveling to a different country, and devoting my time not only to the construction of a church, but to an entire community as well I can't help but think of these words:

"When you stay focused on your dreams, you never lose sight of them"

It has always been a dream of mine to travel to a different country, and I have fulfilled this dream and then some! I hope that I am lucky enough to be able to have this experience again in the future!

"It's the little things that count!" As a group, these simple words quickly became our motto while in Nicaragua. Whether talking about having fresh gravel cover the muddy ground in front of the home where we ate our meals, or making a child smile just by holding their hand, it fit! Materialistic things didn't matter to us, only those little things did.

"If you are contemplating whether or not to take this trip, JUST DO IT! I guarantee you won't regret it and you'll never forget it. I know I won't. It was a really great experience that words really can't explain."

had so little and gave us so much. The landscape is beautiful.
