The group officers were elected and stand as follows: President- Gloria Adams; Vice President- Amy Yates; Financial Director- Dawn Sperfslage; Secretary- Holly Gleich; Public Relations- Yin-Ya Huang; Scholarship Program Directors- Omar Medina and Chris Dunkelberg.

The vision statement is as follows:
The focus of Many Hands Light Work is supported by two different programs. The first purpose will provide scholarships for worthy individuals, seeking a higher education, who demonstrate financial need. The second purpose is to mentor, tutor, and provide hands-on experiences by members of Many Hands Light Work.
It is Many Hands Light Works' intent that a diverse group of
people will work together to benefit the Matagalpa community in
Possible fundraising that was discussed was a breakfast/luncheon with assistance from Dad's Bagel Waffles and the Buchanan County Pork Producers. The meals will be purchased by donations. In return for Dad's Bagel Waffles' assistance, the company will ask for a small percentage. Another fundraising idea that was discussed is a cross-country run/ canoeing at Christine Schrage’s property.
Grants that were discussed are: 1) Fullbright Hayes, 2) Jack Kent, and 3) Veridian Credit Union.
