Library in Guadelupe

In May of 2007 the students met with the Psicosocial group in Guadelupe. During the afternoons, about 20 teens work with area youth that are struggling with their schoolwork and self-esteem due to problems at home. The Muchas Manos Light Work team distributed educational materials to the students and teachers. Prior to departing Nicaragua $600 was donated to the completion of the library room on the building. During a visit in August of 2007, Advisor Chris Schrage worked with youth volunteers and the contractors finishing the walls and painting. Books donated in 2006 and 2007 from UNI students will be kept in the library.
