IOWATER

The mission of IOWATER is to protect and improve Iowa's water quality by establishing and supporting a statewide volunteer water monitoring program. IOWATER begins with a 10-hour level one workshop. In this workshop you will learn the IOWATER protocols, be given testing equipment and discuss strategies for a successful monitoring program. Teachers who are IOWATER and GLOBE trained can enter their temperature, turbidity and pH data to both programs using the same equipment and protocols. IOWATER has several level two training modules including an education module.
