Iowa GLOBE Stars

McKinley Elementary School of Muscatine is the first Iowa School to become a GLOBE Star School. In the Spring of 2002, 5th grader Megan Dial was awarded a GLOBE Star for winning first places in the NASA "Watching Earth Change" contest. Megan used her GLOBE MUC skills and research to describe change in the Iowa Loess Hills. Several other Iowa schools are on the Chief Scientist's Honor Roll for reporting data.

GLOBE Iowa and the Iowa Academy of Science salute the following schools for dedication to the GLOBE Program. Each of these schools reported GLOBE data during the Spring Semester of 2003.
