2003 has been declared the International Year of FreshWater by the United Nations. Visit the website for details and to learn about water issues around the world.

1997 was the tenth aniversery of Iowa's Groundwater Protection Act. To celebrate 1997 was declared the Year of Water. To learn more visit the Year of Water homepage.
