Creative Writing
Department of English Language and Literature Position: Tenure-line Assistant Professor, Creative Writing, to begin Fall 2008; nationally competitive salary and superior benefits. Attractive teaching load: teach undergraduate and graduate courses in creative writing, as well as specialized and general literature courses and Liberal Arts Core courses (writing, literature, or humanities). Required Qualifications: earned by June 2008, either Ph.D. in Creative Writing or Ph.D. in English or related areas and M.F.A. or M.A. in Creative Writing; publication of poetry, fiction, and/or creative nonfiction; evidence of ability to teach creative writing including poetry and fiction through workshop pedagogy and to direct creative theses; evidence of potential for excellence in teaching, creative activity and publishing, and literary editing.
